our story
Lizzy was brought up as a pastor’s daughter in rural Wales. She was also born with a disability. Despite being surrounded by the most incredible family and friends growing up, Lizzy struggled to come to terms with her disability, and this had a massive impact on her faith during her teenage years.
When Lizzy was coming to the end of college, she had no idea what she was going to do with her future. The plan she had was not the plan God had for her life. It was at her lowest point that she turned to Jesus and discovered her love for writing. Through writing, Lizzy discovered her passion to serve God and reach young girls struggling with low self-esteem and self-worth.
Ten years on, we have been EDGE – Every Day God Encounters for over eight years, being based in Wales, we are entering s new chapter and a new season. We are now Adore, and we are branching out. We are a team of five women all living in various parts of the country including Barnsley, Llanfyllin, Llandrindod Wells, Leeds and Chester. Our work now includes online and in-person activities with young girls and women, and we are reaching girls and women from across the UK and beyond.
