our story
Lizzy, our CEO, was born with a disability and brought up as a pastor’s daughter in rural Wales. Despite being surrounded by the most incredible family and friends growing up, Lizzy struggled to come to terms with her disability, and this had a massive impact on her faith during her teenage years.
When Lizzy was coming to the end of college education, she had no idea what she was going to do with her future. The plan she had was not the plan God had for her life. It was at her lowest point that she turned to Jesus and discovered her love for writing. Through writing, Lizzy discovered her passion to serve God and reach young girls struggling with low self-esteem and self-worth.
Over the past decade Lizzy created women's ministry, EDGE – Every Day God Encounters, which has now evolved into Adore, excited and ready for its next chapter, branching out and expanding the team.

Adore are a team of women all living in various parts of the UK, including Barnsley, Llanfyllin, Llandrindod Wells, Leeds and Chester. Our work now includes online and in-person activities reaching girls and women from across the UK and beyond.

Ruth. I find the story of Ruth and Naomi so easy to relate to in our everyday lives.
Did you always know God would call you to lead a Christian organisation?
No. I wanted to do anything but work in the field of Christian leadership when I was younger. God had other ideas, though - and now it's is an honour and privilege to serve God and His people.
What is your hopes of Adore?
To build a community for girls and women where they belong and feel loved, but most of all where they discover God's love and have opportunities to share His love with all those they meet.

What do you think of when you hear the word, "Adore"?
I think of loving, respecting and aspiring to be like someone who feels the same way about you, and both parties would do anything for one another that is beneficial and not unnecessarily hurtful to the other person, so Jesus, family and friends.
